UHS Delaware Valley Hospital announces flu clinics

Flu shot clinics will be held in Walton, Downsville and Roscoe.

The Friday, October 10 adult clinic will be held from 9-11 AM at UHS Delaware Valley Hospital, in the Ambulatory Services Department- enter through the hospital’s main entrance and follow signs from the lobby. On Wednesday, October 15 the clinic will be held at UHS Primary Care in Roscoe from 9-10:30 AM. On Thursday, October 16 adult vaccines will be given at the UHS Primary Care, Downsville, 28315 State Highway 206 from 12-2 PM.

Patients with Medicare Part B coverage or a Medicare Advantage insurance plan can bring their card with them. For all others the charge for the vaccine will be $ 25. Cash or checks will be accepted.

The flu vaccine should not be given if you are sick and have a fever; a life-threatening allergy to the flu or pneumonia vaccine; or if you ever developed Guillain-Barre Syndrome within 6 weeks of getting the flu vaccine. Those people who can eat cooked eggs or baked goods with eggs in them, without having an allergic reaction can receive the flu shot.
