MASH Camp at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital

Students entering 8th and 9th grade this fall will have the opportunity to spend two days in the world of hospital healthcare this summer when UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital  hosts M.A.S.H. Camp on Tuesday, August 5th and Wednesday, August 6th .

M.A.S.H. stands for Medical Academy of Science and Health. This two-day camp is sponsored by UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital and the Central New York Area Health Education Center (CNYAHEC).  The two organizations have partnered on this initiative to address their mutual goal to help alleviate the shortage of health professionals by encouraging young people to explore health careers.

M.A.S.H. Camp will highlight a variety of careers through fun, hands-on workshops for students, including lots of attention from dedicated health professionals. All campers will receive hospital scrubs to wear each day at camp, breakfast and lunch, a tee shirt, and education materials.

The camp fee is $20 per student. CNYAHEC is pleased to offer scholarships to those students who need assistance with the registration fee.

Space is limited to 20 students at M.A.S.H. Camp, and applications will be determined by a selection process. The deadline for applying is Friday, May 2nd. Students can access the online application by visiting the CNYAHEC website:
