  • UHS unveils expanded Wilson Medical Center Emergency Department
    July 18, 2025

    On the morning of Thursday, July 17, UHS held a ribbon cutting to mark the opening of 19 new private patient rooms at UHS Wilson Medical Center Decker Emergency Department and to celebrate the final phase of the UHS Wilson Main Tower project. The event featured a great crowd, excited to celebrate this significant milestone. 

  • Take precautions to avoid getting Lyme disease

    If you plan to spend more time outdoors this summer, please be aware of ticks. These parasites are known to carry Lyme disease, particularly in the Northeast, mid-Atlantic and upper Midwest areas. Lyme disease is a tick-borne illness caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi and Borrelia mayonii (found only in the upper Midwest).
